Cameron Storey AKA The IT GUY

Cameron came to yoga with numerous physical ailments including knee,
back & neck problems, multiple shoulder dislocations & chronic fatigue.
Yoga helped him gradually heal these conditions.

The most pressing issues internally however were 'what was the purpose of life ?'
& 'why it contained suffering?'

Meditation enabled him to understand more of life's natural direction & harmony
& how to dissolve sufferings.

Cameron survived a five & a half year of yoga apprenticeship with Shandor Remete, teaching two to three classes (group or individual) per day, practicing two or three times per day & has attended workshops with numerous teachers including B.K.S Iyengar & Pattabhi Jois.  He now does classes with Mark Togni.

He has been teaching around 5000 students per year since 1990 & has sat several Vipassana courses.

Cameron's typical 9 hr day used to go something like this:

Yoga/pranayama practice 2hrs
Meditation practice 2 hrs
Study/savasana 1 hr

Yoga/pranayama teaching 2 hrs
Meditation teaching 2 hrs

Or he may do nothing at all.

As an example of the profound 'restlessness' (rajas)
Cameron experienced in the past:

Trained in the following:

Defensive driving, small arms, mortars, machine guns, grenades, land-mines, survival skills etc, etc.
First aid (x 9) & casualty care
Health & nutrition
Ayurveda & longevity
Anatomy & physiology
Martial arts-soft & hard styles
Sky-diving & sailing
Scuba & advanced diving
Map-making & orienteering
kayaking, canoeing, bushwalking, rock-climbing, rafting, ski-ing etc,
Financial markets & wealth creation
I.T. & web design
Wisdom counselling
1st yr psych & philosophy
Massage & reiki

Filled up spare time with:

99 days of cross country &
downhill ski-ing
35 days abseiling down canyons
35 days of rock-climbing
117 days kayaking & rafting rivers
123 days bushwalking
306 days competition orienteering
13 years running
6 state teams & 3 state championships
Speed read more than 3500 books
Fire-walking, dance, singing, gestalt, comparative religion, etc,
Lived in all Australian States & Territories
Travelled through 26 countries
Blah, blah, blah.

All this restlessness because he couldn't sit in a room & feel.

Of course none of this is true, even though it might have happened.

Ultimately yoga is about going beyond your mind & nothing
that can be said about anyone's past can explain that.

Whatever he became during his lifetime is of no importance,
only knowledge of the Eternal, God, Nirvana,
the Supreme Self (love) matters .
