Menopause Workshop
|

| A time of change, Using yoga as an holistic approach
Date: Sunday 16th March 2008 Time: 1pm—5pm Cost: $80 Bookings Essential
The teacher: Alison Pomroy has been practicing yoga since 1980 and has been fortunate to have an ongoing and personal relationship with Geeta Iyengar and BKS Iyengar. In 1999 Sri BKS Iyengar personally awarded Alison a Senior Intermediate Certificate.
Menopause is a time of change and is important for a woman to learn to use yoga for her benefit.
The pre-menopause phase starts well before menopause and women at this stage can gain valuable insight and a foundation for the future.
This workshop is designed to provide vital information and practical experience on how and why yoga practice changes at this time.
Learn how you can use yoga to control the onset of menopause and age-related problems-osteoporosis, anxiety, sleeplessness, depression, overweight, stiffness, etc.
Yoga is a holistic approach in which self-knowledge can be gained on a physical, physiological, mental and emotional level. Without self-awareness and self-knowledge a personal spiritual renaissance is not possible.
| Alison looks forward to making the knowledge she has accessible to others. She takes enquiring students beyond the physical level so that the practice of yoga gives longevity, quality of life and a positive approach. |
